I was lucky enough to be able to do some casting (just silver and nickle-silver) back in high school. You can get some beautiful results with the lost wax method we used, but need far more equipment than most people have available at home.

Kind of curious to see if those little soldering guns sold at craft stores can work as well as the blow torches we used - probably need smaller pieces, but might be easier to control that way. No idea where I would get the metal from though.

Things you make always have so much more meaning than things you buy - and always have a story to go along with them. :)
