These are awesome stories! You painted the kids very well with very few words. I'd love to see a full blown story with them.

I agree with everyone else, you really nailed how Rodney would deal with the kids. One consistent thing about the Rodney character is that he never sugar coats anything and always assumes everyone should have the capacity to understand what he's saying.

In my experience, kids always seem to react better to folks who just treat them like people, rather than ones who go into "baby talk" mode (or, if you remember transactional analysis, the ones who enter into Parent --> Child mode). Though maybe that's just me. ;)
