Soccer Quotes
Our boys had their last game of the season last night. It was one of those "if you win, you play again, but if you lose, you don't" sort of things. Considering I said last game, you can guess how it went. During the game, the group of 8 to 11 year olds were full of amusing moments and quotes. I really did have to share at least two with you.
J (9 yr old girl) started her own cheering section.
J: Even though we're gonna lose, we've got spirit, yes we do!
Me: Honey, we're still trying to win...
J: Really?
Me: Really.
J: Huh.
Our eldest son had sat out for a bit, not feeling so well. He then decided he wanted to play again.
Me: You want to play?
Eldest: I want to take out #7 (on the other team).
Me: Because he just went after your brother?
Eldest: No, because he took me down earlier. If he took out [Youngest], that's just a bonus.
And I won't even go into the ride to drop off the girls after the game other than to say that no, there was no mute button, and that both my partner and I have new respect for our mothers.
