cat_77: old tree in winter (snow tree)

But wait, there's more!

Now 3 am and the fire burns merrily on. Not really writing as I fear the grammar, spelling, and plot I would inflict upon others, so have another quote:

Me: Hey, it looks like the fire's down to almost smoldering. Do we need to turn it back on? Push a button to make the Yule Log go again? [reference to a gas fireplace at one place where we stayed a few years back]

[personal profile] wolfie74: You would never survive in the wilderness on your own, would you?

Me: Sure I would. I'd have my cell phone with GPS and be all, "Yeah, I'm here, come find me."

This, of course, led to reminiscing about the Yule everyone was sick and we took turns sleeping. She was passed out and the fire burned low. Youngest turned to me and asked, "So, um, if we keep it going with sticks and paper until Mom wakes up, it so totally counts, right?"

And he is far more outdoorsy than Eldest. Scary, huh?
