91%
The co-op had some wonderfully awesome 91% cacao chocolate bars on sale this weekend. They are different than you would expect because they don’t feel super heavy or rich. Instead, it’s like the chocolate dissolves on your taste buds. It’s not acidic like some cocoa powders or heavy bars are, nor is it overly sweet like others. It’s just… good.
Independent co-op grown cocoa trees supporting sustainable commerce. The bar lists a website of www.theochocolate.com but I haven’t had a chance to check it our yet. For those of you in the Minneapolis area, Seward co-op has them on sale this week. Big bars, but you only need a bit at a time (about the size of one of the sections will last you several hours to a full afternoon). Regular price is a bit high at around $5.00, but I think they were down to $2.75 this week – making it perfect to give them a try.
Edit:
For those interested in such things, the ingredients are listed as: Cocoa Beans (Venezuela), Sugar, Organic Cocoa Butter. Nothing else.
