Of denistry and such...

Got tooth fixed. Luckily did not need a crown or even a ton of work. I was told by the dentist that, if there was a fortunate way to break a tooth, I had it. They were able to fix it with what amounts to a massive, carefully shaped, filling (it was a molar), though I did end up needing novacaine for the first time in 29 years (they checked my records, last time I had it I was three).

Eating afterward was an adventure. Didn't bite or burn my tongue or any such thing, but found I really couldn't open my mouth wide enough for the fork very well.

Another adventure? Off to work to try to finish what should be roughly 60 or so month-end follow ups in a half-day. This could be... fun. If your idea of fun is an excruciating workload and stress.

At least it was relatively painless. I hope your mouth feels better soon.

There was needles, and drilling. Then again, there was also only 14 follow ups left over from 68 and now there is wine, so it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. My mother told my she has cracked more than one tooth (which leads me to think of nutritional requirements growing up, but I digress) and every single time she has ended up needing both a root canal and a crown. I's got lucky.
