Today is the potluck at work. I didn't have anything to bring, so I left early this morning and stopped by the grocery store near our work to pick up some plates and bowls and such. I came out and my tire was completely flat. This is after parking on a perfectly clear selection of pavement with a perfectly good tire next to someone who set my warning signals off as I was walking away from the car. My cell phone was dead and there was no public phone, so I drove on the flat the one mile to my work. The tire is now completely shredded. Two of the managers tried to help change it, but the tiny little jack keeps slipping.

So, I had to call my partner's ex who is driving out with AAA card in hand to stand around and get a tow to get a new tire to cost me lots and lots of money. Sigh. It's a good thing my partner's ex forgives me for being a homewrecker.
