I've worked for the same company for six years now. We're in the banking industry, that's all that's really important. You know, dealing with numbers and such, one would think you would need a clue, or at least above a second grade education.
Apparently not.
There is a girl who has worked nearly as long as I have here. Sweet, seems nice, but sometimes just aggravates. She won't do anything outside of "normal" for her job, even if policy dictates that she's supposed to deal with something. She asked me if I had a file and told me, "Don’t wrong if you don’t have it." I thought she might have just mistyped something in her email. When I told her I did not have the file, her response was, "Don’t wrong about it."
Am I missing something? Is there a new grammar I just don't get? Kind of like "hott" for "hot" and "phat" that sounds like "fat" but does not mean "chubby"? Am I that behind in the times, or do I need to take elocution lessons from my nine year old to understand modern society?
