I was going to do another "Dear Co-Workers" post to keep up the tradition I'm starting to form, but this post is technically not about my actual co-workers. Instead of bitching about the people in my own office, I'm going to bitch about the people in one of our other offices in a different state.
If someone tells you 5 times, on different dates, providing evidence, that there is a legal matter to consider on an account, don't push it back out to the open collections department. Buy a clue and send it to the department handing that actual legal issue.
Also, please realize that a co-signer on an account is still on the account and that means any legal issues they have still need to be dealt with.
Also, again, make sure you actually push the little hold button on your phone when you tell a customer that you need to put them on hold for a moment to check on something but actually just sit at your desk discussing your favorite snack foods with the person next to you. It's a thing.
