Back from CONvergence. Actually got back yesterday, but then ran errands and passed out, so today is the first truly conscious time post-con.
There were a few awesome moments and a few boring moments and a few "wow, you take yourself far to seriously go have some fun instead" moments as well, but it was a good time over all. It was Eldest & Youngest's first time at con since they were above knee-high, and the shocked the crap out of people who had not seen them since then (Eldest is now 13 and just shy of 6'). They were dubious at first, and then settled in and had fun.

wolfie74 went out and bought stuff after the boys' father (who's one of the sub-heads for the con) gave her the okay and a promise to reimburse. Less than an hour later, there were some very happy teens decorating the crap out of their room and the hallways, and less than an hour after that, a decently filled room.
Panels of note included a "Science of Sex" panel, a late night panel on slash fic, and a panel on building steam punk items.
They have announced the guests for next year and it would appear "Women of Sci-Fi" is the theme. Guests include: Sharyn November, Tamora Pierce, Ruth Thompson, Jennifer Clarke Wilkes, Lyda Morehouse & Sophie Aldred. Yes, much towolfie74's delight, Ace is going to be at the con!
Oh, and I have to share the awesome journal I picked up. The thing in the corner is the bookmark I made at one of the build panels with Youngest. ( To Save Room )
