Hee!

It's been pouring outside for most of the day. I've been watching it collide with the sky lights above my desk with a mix of "Cool, lightning!" and "Crap, the commute home is going to suck!" in my mind.

Before I left, I shot E a quick email that said, "Noah called, he said to warn you I might be late…."

She apparently read it to Eldest, and replied with:

E: Reads email
Eldest: Who's Noah?
E: Crazy guy with all those animals
Eldest: He molested them?
E: No, he kept collecting them and boxing them in like kfc chickens. Then, it rained a lot and it turned out he was right.
Eldest: Huh, who knew?
E: Evidently god.
Eldest: Not mine.

There are times I love my family.

Dude, you want suckage? That storm? Spanned the entirety of the midwest. 622 MILES of storming. From 10 am to 7pm at night, there were only 75 miles of not-rain.

Iowa? Yeah. Tornado weather. Me passing right through the center at that exact moment. Fun. Indiana? Yeah, massive lightening and POURING rain that completely ruined any night vision, at all. Fun.

(Yes, cool! But not so much when you still have 65 miles to get to your location and are rendered blind by Zeus throwing a hissy-warble.)

There were zero clear skies until this morning. Pretty, puffy clouds today, though.

Was gray here pretty much all day, at least where I work.

Sorry about the sucky commute. Thursday night, on the way home, during the 35W construction area, there's a spot that's rather flooded and has a rather sharp turn. Guess where the Fed Ex truck decided to try to pass? Guess where enough water hit my windshield to make the Flume at Valley Fair look like a sprinkler? Absolutely could not see for about 5-10 seconds with cars on either side of me making about a 90 degree turn. Awesome. When I could see again, it was the wheelwell of the Fed Ex truck less than a foot away from me and I had to try to jerk away and not hit the car to my right. *sigh*

Still that was the worst of it and you had far more miles of suck than I did.

Also? I highly doubt that is the last time you ever bitch. Come on, let's be realistic here... *g*
