Merlin - Gold
Something struck me about the big climactic showdown for the episode, and also how Merlin is pretty much never caught, even when doing magic right out in the open. This is the result. Apologies as I am high on meds, so hopefully it is somewhat coherent.

She pushed him into an alcove with barely a glance to make certain they were not followed. “Your eyes were gold,” she accused without preamble.
“Morgana, I...” Merlin tried, his voice pitched far higher than usual.
“Your eyes were gold,” she repeated. “He had a knife to my throat, and then he didn't. I felt the blade, knew what he was about to do. I saw you, you looked like me when...”
“Morgana, you have to...” Merlin pleaded.
She cut him off again. “You lied to me,” she said simply. “I do not appreciate the lie, but I appreciate what led you to do it, especially here, especially now.” She paused, and when she continued, her voice was like ice. “Never lie to me again, not about this.”
With that, she flounced off in a cloud of silks and perfume, leaving a bewildered Merlin in her wake. “I'm sorry,” he whispered to the air. “I am so sorry.” He waited until the echo of her footsteps had disappeared before daring to leave.
One alcove down, unseen and unheard, Arthur cursed at yet another secret he would be forced to keep.
