It's a little on the emo side given the subject of loss but, then again, reading through my posts from December, that seemed to be the topic of the month, so there you go.

Okay, so I kind of forgot to bring my laptop with me to work today. I also kind of forgot to send any updated copy of anything with me to work today. Wednesday we had a bit of snow. Today we had our first real hard frost of the season. It was actually quite pretty once you got past forgetting where the scraper for the car was last left and picking at it with your gloved hands enough to see to drive. :)

Completely random drabble based on the view when I got to work today:

The doors opened and she breathed deep as she gazed out upon the white frosted rooftops, the sky lit like fire from the sun. A bird soared through the streak of clouds, dark against the light, unmindful of the cold that had settled like a blanket upon the town. Another pecked at the last bit of life to force its way up from the earth, bright green on pale white, before settling in for the long winter that lay ahead. With a peaceful smile, she could not help but think, “Huh, so this is why I don’t kill them all…”

Er, probably not the lighthearted romp a prompt like this might usually lead to...
