As a friend of mine pointed out via Twitter this morning, when you factor in the windchill, it is currently 100 degrees colder in MN today versus AZ where he lives.
There really is nothing else to say about that. :)
People I know in AZ talk about 105-110 days in the summer like they are nothing - I really don't think I could do it. So we get a handful of -40 days in the winter - we get a winter. *g*
Chatting online with an Aussie pal last night, we came to the realization that--not counting wind chill--it was 100 degrees colder in Kentucky last night than in her part of Oz at the same time.
She swears she'd freeze in our winter. I KNOW I'd roast in her summer.
Talked with a work associate today who also lives in AZ. She asked about the weather here and then lost it for about 5-10 minutes on how she could never handle the cold and was quite funny. I pointed out it's only a couple of days a year versus the AZ heat and she's like, "But at least it's warm then." *g*
