Given that you were not allowed to take a half-day on your b-day when you finished your work early but were instead instructed to do the slackers? I can imagine a person or two I'd want to stick a pin or three in.
BTW, "Elma" thought your b-day was tomorrow and thus was highly confused at the end of the day when she figured it out.
BTW 2- caught a fuck up by Captain Volunteer at the end of the day that I got to document and send to two managers - can that count as an extra b-day gift?
I could have taken the half-day, but my supervisor laid a serious "what it means to be a top performer" guilt trip on me when I protested against cleaning up other people's lists AGAIN. I told him I weren't the only one doing it, I would not be so resentful. He claimed he was going to crack the whip on the others, but that hasn't been done (and likely won't be).
Oh, and since one of them is out all next week, guess who's doing double duty until Friday?

Grumble.
