Fall of Fall

Not last weekend, but the weekend before, we went out and about to enjoy the colors of Fall because we are hippy and pagan like that. We did so with our phones because we are geeky and techy like that. And possibly all three of of us ([personal profile] wolfie74, Youngest, and myself) forgot the damn cameras.

All three of the pictures were taken in Jordan, MN, which is a bit different than the usual Afton, MN that we have gone to in the past, but quite beautiful and peaceful in its own right.

In the cracked and dried dirt just above the riverbed were perfectly preserved tracks from deer, otters, and wolves. Youngest brought two home to share with his science teacher, and the park ranger than saw us thought they were pretty cool and possibly went to collect some for his nature center as well (he was as excited as Youngest - it was cute).

Taken midway across a little stream while balanced on some stepping stones. I kind of liked the way one half was in shadow and the other in light. So did the family that asked me to take their picture there as well.

A random tree in the middle of nowhere. It had grown around and practically into the rock. Youngest and I thought it was neat enough to take a pic of.

This weekend is windy enough to strip the trees of their leaves, and next week it is supposed to be cold enough to snow, so I am posting these while I remember and while they are somewhat timely.
