Weekend

So my partner’s mom wants us and the boys to go to the middle of nowhere this weekend to some wilderness preserve to listen to the wolves. My first question, of course, was, “Will it have wi-fi?”

My partner, gods bless her awesomeness, booked us in a sort of bed and breakfast just outside the preserve. And yes, it has wi-fi. It also apparently has awesome food made to order.

There are definite benefits to being with a former computer scientist turned chef.

Wi-fi and good food, makes for a lovely life.

It truly does.

Unfortunately, I just realized the new episodes of SGA start tomorrow night, while we're in the middle of nowhere. Here's hoping the box actually tapes it this time...

Is the reserve named W. R.?

You know, I honestly have no idea. It's not Wild River, if that's the one you mean (camp site). Basically, you drive up to Hinkley and take a right and drive for about another hour. Seeing how we went right of Hinkley by accident once more and I swore I heard banjos playing... [Yes, it was another place where we told Youngest he's mine, Eldest he's E's, and that they could not call us both mom for the duration of the stay...]

Hmm, no, I was thinking Wolf Ridge up in Finland.

Now that I'm back, I can tell you that the reserve was Crex Meadows. No wolves that we heard, though E thought she saw one. Lots of deer though.
