As someone who (along with threnodyjones way back when...) had the pleasure of training with the then National coach for sabre fencing, all I have to say is, "Yeah, bitch!"

U.S. took all three medals in the women's individuals. I got to explain to my kids why this rocked so much. Hee!

I was so completely proud to score that one point off him. For the 3 seconds it took until he walloped me in about half a millisecond.

You have to admit, he was pretty awesome as both a coach and a teacher.
