Rambly Ramble

Sorry for the lack of fic updates over the past month or so. Got a bit swamped at work and knocked sideways by a cold and such. I have been working on the next Left Behind segment, as well as an Earthside one that includes a bit of a crossover with Fringe because you truly can never have enough Walter. I just have to, you know, get them into a readable state and post them, that's all. Well, that, and finish them...

Also, random pimp for [livejournal.com profile] team_sga's AU Fest. It was tons of fun last year and they are hosting it again this year, this time for the first two weeks in May. Tons of prompts are still open if you want to browse through and grab one [or three].

In other news, you know those little fake cars you ride at amusement parks that go slow and have you bounce between the tracks and you always want to drive the car as a kid and then as an adult you realize how boring and tedious that particular ride is? I'm pleased to announce that it does actually serve a purpose and help you when you're older - when there's a snow storm and no one plows the highway and you try to carefully line up your car with the tracks left by the car in front of you. :) Can you guess how my ride home was? When I didn't feel like I was off-roading it, that is?

Also, debating getting rid of the Twitter feed to my LJ because a) who cares? b) it's kinda in the way, and c) who cares?

More rambles later, I'm sure...

This weather is fun, no? My Hubby wound up abandoning his car about five blocks from home because it was just *stuck* and would not go forwards. He did manage to get it to the curb though. *crossing fingers it isn't towed as soon as snow emergency switches to side roads*

My partner was surprised it didn't take me forever to get home tonight. I think part of it was everyone left early fearing the worst, and part of it was you *had* to drive a bit faster just to have the momentum to make it through the snow drifts without getting stuck.

Good luck with the plows! I can hear some out there right now so hopefully driving in the morning won't be too bad!
