No real reason for this post other than to see if my new Merlin icon works. I was playing around with GIMP and think I finally figured out how to work the animation feature (sort of).
I got an idea and messed around with it until I got something passable. You, er, don't want to see some of the other seizure-inducing results...
Still can't quite stop the degradation issue (the images were clear until saved - go fig), but maybe it's just a learning curve? Or it could be the fact that Gimp works some of the time and doesn't others - I don't think it's just your system that has issues, but I have yet to find any other freeware that does as much, so I'm running with it. *g*
But messing around is the normal way of doing things, y/y? ^_^
Sadly, I can't help you with the degradation issue, never having gotten the thing to work on my system at all. Which is annoying, because I have permission from an artist to turn her OT5 pic into an icon, but I have no animation program. *tears hair* I think it's time to visit the berlinghoff79 shop of grovelling.

I wish Gimp would work on my computer, but even the Mac people are stumped, and I don't want to upgrade to Leopard yet. *sigh*
