Scratching Post

Two things make a post? Three if you count rambling explanation?

a) Wanted to use new icon of Lirael from the Old Kingdom Series because it is an awesome series that everyone should read.

b) I played around with the .harmonious app again on the iPad. I, er, actually lost the first try at this via stupidity, but recreated it again via stubbornness.

Feedback is always welcomed because, if past experiences are to go by, art and I do not always play well together.

So I ended up staying home after all. Called in and cited the roads, the weather, the fender bender, and the child who would be home alone during a blizzard. Surprisingly, I don't think this will be an issue.

The front steps and walkway are now shoveled and I am totally counting that as my exercise for the day. Also? Ow. Heavy snow is heavy.

Today's Sinfest demanded an icon, so here is my sad attempt at one:


Which reminded me I did not post the one I made for wolfie74 the other night that very few people might get but can totally be credited to johnnym77 (hint: inside joke about Eldest and Youngest and their obsession with a certain card game when they were younger)):


Now, I plan on taking a handful of ibuprofen and playing around online for a bit. I have not dug out the car yet, and that will likely take another 40+ minutes and another handful of drugs. Fun times!

Played around with GIMP this morning and attempted to make a new Merlin icon. Had to shrink it to 90x90 due to the size constraints (was 3K too big for LJ *pout*) but I rather like the end result.

Made a new Morgana icon. I'm maxed out over on LJ, but wanted a new one over here. *g*

No real reason for this post other than to see if my new Merlin icon works. I was playing around with GIMP and think I finally figured out how to work the animation feature (sort of).

Icons from Fringe, Stargate: SG-1, and Stargate: Atlantis. Most have been posted previously at my journal at various times, but I added three new ones for halfamoon.

Made a couple of icons for the new show Fringe. Most were actually made last week, but I was having some issues with the program, so they needed to be tweeked a bit.

Saw the new promo pic for this season of House and could not help but make a few icons. While I was at it, I made a couple of Captain Vega, the new girl in town on SGA (she was in "Search and Rescue" and will be in this week's "Whispers". No spoilers in her pics, all are from aired promos and the like and I tried to keep them simple.
