+ Yeah! The announcement as to when the bridge will reopen is this morning! Should be open for tomorrow's commute. Link to article.

- Boo! There are no less than three helicoptors circling my house right now to get a view of it for the tv stations. Come on people, the sun's not even up yet and the announcement's not until 11 am...

Edit: The announcement was made - it will be open Thursday for the morning commute after a bunch of squad cars go across with fanfair and the like. Makes sense considering some parts weren't even painted yet this morning.

Fringe

Saw the new show "Fringe" last night. It's rather awesome: solid writing, snark, and fast paced.

They didn't have that "let's stop the plot and explain the characters" crap that a lot of new shows suffer from. Yeah, a bit of the exposition was forced, but they sped it along so you didn't care as much. All of the main characters have their faults, so there's no suffering from Perfect Mary Sues hopping around the screen. All in all? Far more than just decent.

I would rec this to anyone who's willing to give a new sci-fi/mystery/drama show a shot - I think you'll find it's worth it.

Next episode is Tuesday on Fox. Let's see if they keep up the goodness. Let's also see if Fox gives it the chance it deserves.

PS - Anyone know any good comms set up yet, or is it still too new to tell?
