When Fandom Attacks

My boss and her boss are currently having an in depth discussion about "24". It's kind of awesome as they are talking about characterization and feasibility and whether it would fit a real life model. They are also talking about what they would have done differently.

They are discussing everything with a seriousness I have only seen in fandom. This amuses me to no end. If they start plotting out their own storylines, I might just die of glee.

No, I don't watch 24, but the fact they are so into a show *cough*like me*cough* just makes me giggle.

The people over on my side are constantly doing the same thing with Lost. Thing is, these are exactly the kind of people who would never consider themselves "fanboys" of any kind, but their fandom is considered "acceptable" because it's not fantastical. Except for the aliens. And the time travel. And...oh, never mind.

They were so serious about it, and then serious about mocking their obsessions. They really sounded like fangirls. Head-Up-His-Ass-Boy came over and they tried to include him and he just did not get it. They brushed him off and continued. *g*

My boss (not her boss) would be the type to look for fanfic if she knew it existed. She's kinda awesome that way.

My sister is apparently addicted to 'The Office.' I'd love to know if she's into fanfic, but I'm really afraid to ask.

I know my other sister was into Xena/Gabrielle. But we haven't had a chance to talk in years.

Lalala For all I know, we could be reading each other's stories.

I do so love when 'regular' people turn fannish.
