Ugh...

Why is it that, when I try to access certain pages on LJ from home, I keep getting sent to some fake "virus scan" site that tells me a) that I have like eleventy million viruses, and b) I must use their program right now to fix it? Don't you think my own virus programs would catch at least one of those eleventy million? Don't you think they could at least pretend to list folders I actually have on my computer?

It seems to happen when I try to go back to a page I was just on, or tab through the login to the password field.

Grr...

Edit: It's now happening at work too, mainly on my own LJ page, and those with similar themes...

Sounds like something got into the LJ server and latched onto the coding for that template. I'm guessing, anyway.

Most likely. This is the same theme/format that I can't press the back button on at work without getting an error message and it shutting down (was working fine from home until now). This is why I like the little bar at the top once you're logged in - you can still go back to your page without it shutting down.

It's just for the eleventy million viri your programs *don't* catch. ;)

Hmmm... On the one hand, the computer's been working fine with those eleventy million viruses. On the other, what if it stops the por-, um, I mean fine works of literature I wish to peruse on my computer? I better send them my name, address, credit card #, and social security # right now just to make sure.
