Removing Story

Just as an FYI, within the next day or so, I will be taking a story down from my main site. The fic in question is one set in the Highlander universe that I started a very long time ago and never finished. I don't think I've even worked on it in over a year.

I gave it a read through and my original character seems way too much the Mary Sue in what I have so far. She wasn't intended to be, and she was supposed to be fleshed out more in later chapters (give you a hint, her name begins with a K - which all Highlander fans should understand), but I never got around to it. I might eventually get back to it and rework it again, but I’m not sure when that will happen.

If you want what’s there so far, grab it now. If you want an update when/if I get around to posting the new version, please let me know.

Truth be told, the very first version of this fic was my very first attempt at fan fic, long before I even knew the term existed. I think that’s why I’m making a big deal about taking it down. I have the entire storyline with multiple arcs mapped out, but it needs more work than I can give it right now, and I’m kind of embarrassed about where it stands as it is.

Anyway, it’s coming down – if not tonight, by this weekend at the latest.

Yep, that one. It's based off something I wrote in high school and still gets like 25 hits a month so I figured I'd put up a warning.

About 90% of all bad guys in the Highlander-verse have names that start with K, which gave them the nickname in fandom of "Kimmies" (regular Immortals were called "Immies"). The name of the character is actually an old Norwegian name, not Scottish (oops!), and she's a bit Mary Suish because she comes across as Special and Perfect and Everything Everyone Else Is Not. In later chapters she repeatedly gets the crap beat out of her and shows her true colors.
