So, at work and so totally concentrating on my very few remaining follow ups, I went digging through some old folders on my computer that were happily brought along from my old one and stored in a file in a file in a file never to be seen again. One such file is marked Cat – Personal, so I look and find a crap ton of old stories I must have worked on here at one time. Some are from 2004 people.
So I did what any normal person would do and started clicking randomly to see what’s what. I found a couple I had already posted, but found a SG-1 story from January 2007, another from 2008, ten pages of a SGA kid fic from 2008, and some of my original notes from my K-series stuff from 2004 - including the names and such I went looking for two years ago, could not find, said screw it, and reinvented from scratch.
Things I have learned:
1) I should probably clean these things out more often.
2) I have a bad habit of writing pages upon pages of fic, and then moving on to something new (I’m looking at you, you 50 pages of “Days of Forever”).
3) I have worked for the same company for far too long.
4) They, like, totally don’t look at what’s on our personal drives in ancient folders, do they?
5) I may, possibly, have the attention span of a gnat today.
Sending the kid fic one home to possibly poke at while on the trip because it amuses: I downsized McKay, Sheppard, and Kavanaugh. Might send one of the SG-1 ones home as well because I have a crap-ton of notes on Anat for an Anat and Ba’al loose on Earth fic.
