Fringe Theory

First, the non spoilery reaction:

FRINGE!

Now, the spoilery reaction:

My personal theory is that Olivia is not fully Faux-liva right now. She had her lover's memories in her before and could cope with that. They spent the majority of last season talking about how special she was and all the things she can do mentally. There's no way she'd lose herself quite so much, unless she wanted to.

I'm thinking that the scene where she stands in the park and realizes that, in all likelihood, she might not go home again, is the turning point. She had been fighting the memories all along (all the trackmarks treatments and such). Add in the speech from the cabbie, and she realizes she needs to embrace the Faux-livia memories to be able to survive in that reality. She pretends to be the other her the way Walter-nate wants, and she can survive long enough to find out more about what's going on and possibly find a way home. As Faux-livia she will also have an in with the Fringe division and everything they know there and, though she undoubtedly knows she's being watched, it's a bit of a safe harbor for the time being.

Also, Faux-livia in this reality seems far too forced (which I know she's supposed to be), and I'm kinda waiting for that to fall apart on her 'cause it should be pretty. :)

So, that would be my attempt at coherency after both the episode and far too many people talking at once. :) Thoughts?
