SGA - Going Home
I had this one mostly done before the trip up north. Short piece I found on my DANA and actually managed to finish before the whole writer's block thing set in.
Title: Going Home
Genre: SGA, Team, Gen
Length: 300 words
Rating: PG to PG-13
Season/Spoilers: Teyla in Season 4
Synopsis: She will do what is needed to bring them home.
Disclaimer: Not mine, they belong to people with a lot more money than I have. I am only borrowing them and making no profit from this.

The weapon hung heavy in her hand. She, who was supposed to be busy creating life, had just taken it without a second thought. It was not done to protect herself, it had not reached that point yet. It was not even done to protect her unborn child. So why then would she choose such a drastic action?
She looked to her team, her friends, the last remaining family she had left in this galaxy. Sheppard was a ghastly pale beneath the smudges of filth and flecks of crimson. Ronon lay broken, yet determined to make it. And Rodney... Rodney stood at her side, the barrel of his gun puffing with warmth in the frigid air, his thin lips set in a determined frown.
"We need to get them out of here," he directed. He glanced at her, his concern radiating off him. "Can you help?"
She thought it a foolish question, of course she could help; she'd carry them all the way back to the Jumper if need be. She opened her mouth to speak, but saw that his gaze was focused on her protruding stomach. She stilled her protest, nodding and simply saying, "I am fine. We must move."
He chewed on his bottom lip, switching his gun to his other hand as he helped pull Ronon into a sitting position. "I'm not sure how many are left or if they are coming back," he admitted, grunting as Ronon used him as a crutch, but still not wavering.
"It does not matter," she declared. She did not expect many survivors beyond their own. She hefted John's arm around her shoulder, helping him to stand. He leaned heavily against her, barely keeping upright. Turning slightly to make sure she had his attention, she assured him, "We are going home."
