Sorry for the lack of posts/stories/etc. I do have a series pretty much ready to go that I might get the chance to post this weekend.

Anyway, an extremely short version of the current real life shenanigans that have been keeping me busy goes as follows:
1) Tons of new stuff to do at work.
2) Helping son with his own real life adventures.
3) Had a cancer scare that sent me into overdrive and less daily panic attacks and more week-long attacks. Turned out benign, which is of the good, but it took a while to get to that point. Now I just have the physical and financial scars, but those are doable (work insurance is not the world's best, but far better than a lot of other places).

Not posting for sympathy, just for updates and such even though I know very few people still read this site.

Thanks.

Cat.

Tendinitis. In both knees. One more severe than the other.

No crouching, lunging, squatting, etc. for minimum two, preferably three weeks. Not even supposed to bike let alone use the elliptical. Apparently lowering the setting doesn't count.

This whole exercise thing, while not actually cutting my weight much, has helped with my ADD and anxiety, so this should be interesting as we're in the home stretch of projects at work.

Also, since I've dealt with tendinitis more than once before (just not my knees), I know the timeline is not a cure, just a way to make it more tolerable. There will be flare ups and over-extensions and achy-ness and such for a while to come. Blah.

But, hey, I have a fancy brace that almost fits under my jeans and an excuse to veg on tv for a bit as I "rest" the tendons, right?

I is sick.

I have a sinus infection and an ear infection and have meds and everything. I just. Can't. Stop. Coughing. We've reached the uncontrollable, deep from the depths of hell, make your head hurt and pull muscles in your neck and back coughing so hard.

It can stop any time now. For really.

I'm thinking of waiting until I'm not high on migraine meds to code and post the 14K story....

Good choice?

Have spent the past week reading epically long fics instead of writing. Have also spent the past week with a headache randomly peaking into a migraine that I blame on the weather/season change, so being able to pick something up and set it down again and have someone else keep track of the plot was nice.

For proof there is stuff in the works, however, doing the WIP meme thing:
List just the working titles, current word count(approximate is fine), and (if you want) a brief description.

Mind Games - 7,700 words - Natasha and Clint get hit by an AIM experiment gone wrong, with interesting consequences (telepathy/empathy fic).

Periphery - 6,000 words - Someone goes after Clint's past and, needless to say, he goes after them.

Breathing Excercises - 2,000 words - Sequel to Breath Again.

Purple Converse - 21,000 words - Obligatory kid fic that is eating my brain.

SGA_Merlin - 9,000 words - Crossover fic originally promised to [personal profile] emeraldteal years ago, lost, and found again.

Ta-da? Or something?
