Scratching Post

Fricken beautiful Fall weekend here in MN, possibly one of the last before winter sets in in the next week or two.

Today, we enjoyed it by going to a tiny archery range by our house. I got to play with my new toy and the boys played with theirs. Eldest has a traditional bow, Youngest has a youth/adolescent compound bow, and I now have a compound bow thanks to the awesomeness that is wolfie74.

We stopped at Caribou along the way and sipped at coffee/teas/smoothies while we shot at targets. I fully admit to needing more practice, but it was fun, even when the random cop stopped by. He wasn't concerned about us shooting, just more wanted to say hi since he was in the area.

Afterwards, we stopped and picked up fletching gloves for Eldest and myself because it hurts like a bitch when you pinch your fingers, tbh.

I was a big girl today. We got big girl furniture, I cleaned the vents like a big girl, and even got the extremely strange baseboard/hot water heat thing started up (which, BTW, confused wolfie74, so that was extra bonus points for me for figuring it out).

We also went to the big antique store near us and found some glasses we like but, most importantly, we found my pony! Now, every time you hear me bitch that "I want a pony!" you can imagine me sipping vodka out of this:



It was pretty cheap (like $10) as it was a single cup and saucer and not a complete set. It says it's Wedgewood something or another but, really, it's my damn pony, coming home stay. *nods*

Now, let's see if we can get some fic writing done and call this a truly productive day?
