"Daniel?" Mitchell asked with concern.
"I'm fine," came the automatic response.
Cam stopped what he was doing to look at his team mate. Blood flowed freely from the recently ascended man's exposed skin as he clutched the blanket tighter around his battered form. "The hell you are," he scoffed. "They didn't even bother to send you back in one piece this time."
"Trust me, we have more important things to worry about," the injured man insisted.
"Come on, how much worse can it get?" Mitchell sighed wearily.
Daniel's pain was more than physical as he stated, "The Ancients are losing."
