Random TV Notes

Watched In Plain Sight this week, which managed to have not one but two awesome quotes:
- “What are you, verbally impotent?” “I’m sorry, it’s never happened before.”
- “It’s like salmon – they swim upstream, fight the tide, and end up on a bagel.”

Watched Bones last night. You have to love that the man was killed by a Lion Fish swirly. Really, there are no words.

Watched Fringe last night as well. Okay ep, it was about time, want to know who the person at the end was. However, the preview for next week looks awesome. It looks like Walter has one huge acid trip, complete with a polka dotted cow, and gleefully shares it all with Olivia’s niece. Considering we already know via multiple hints in previous episodes that something big is going to happen in the May 6th ep (his lock combo, among other things), this should be the “Oh, isn’t that funny/awesome/cracktackular” bit before everything goes to shit.

Now I must totally concentrate on my work and in no way try to pull up Word and write fanfic. It helps that boss’s boss’s boss is moving in to the cube next to me effective next week and they are currently rebuilding it for her. It’s like a neat little noose hanging over my head. Or, possibly, just to be contrary, I want to goof off that much more while I can...

Keep in mind that Boss Lady (that's what I call boss's boss's boss) is a HUGE geek. As long as she doesn't catch you, and as long as your productivity doesn't suffer, I don't think she'll care so much.

Both current boss and previous boss have caught me writing, and not always at lunch, and been fine with it because I finish my work and I'm not wasting bandwidth on the internet. Old boss huffed about me not helping with Captain Volunteer's route once, to which I pointed out how often he was *not* at his desk, how he was late and left early, and how he had half the route I did. She told me it would still reflect on me - which is probably why I got rated so low during the review even though I managed one of the largest routes and kept current and met goals all friggin' year long.
