Merlin - Fading into Destiny

Two things make a post? Three if you count rambling explanation?

a) Wanted to use new icon of Lirael from the Old Kingdom Series because it is an awesome series that everyone should read.

b) I played around with the .harmonious app again on the iPad. I, er, actually lost the first try at this via stupidity, but recreated it again via stubbornness.

You posted your drawings again! :D I like the straightforward colors of it; that sweep of deep bright red instantly associated with Camelot and how you've let it just fan out with the strokes. The air seems to be crackling with magic and it let's me imagine what is going on, what Arthur's face would tell me if we could see it. You and art seem to be playing pretty well to me. How do you find it? ^^

You are such a sweetie. It's nothing like some of the awesome artwork I've seen around, but it was fun to play with, if only for a change. I think having a program with layers could be interesting to play with - guidelines on one that you can take away at the end so they don't show through/create such strict borders/etc. This was a free app, which considering I have not done much art at all since the early days of college, seemed the best way to go.

Sometimes I miss the drawing and the painting, and sometimes I look back at stuff I made way back when and try to figure out how I ever did it, but I figure I did it then and do other stuff now so it all works out in the wash of things. I'd miss the days of art shows and whatnot more, but remember I never wrote then, and can't imagine not writing daily now, and figure it's a trade off of sorts and can definitely more than live with that. :)

well, i like the cape and his armour... i'm not sure about his hair though ;)

oh, the effects are nice too! how do you get it to do that?
