A wonderful anon has written me a great little story for merlin_holidays! Modern AU get-together with Arthur being a bit of a git, Merlin openly using magic, and Morgana being Morgana: Flat 6 is available over at AO3 - go read and leave kudos!

I have not watched all the Merlin eps from last season.

I read spoilers about the Lancelot ep and it made me cringe and not want to watch it, and then I found other things to occupy my time instead if moving on to the next ep.

I will probably not watch the new episodes immediately. I need to at least watch the two part finale first.

Shh, it's like a secret or something.

As is my current Avengers obsession.

Also a secret? After the last two weeks of times interesting in the Irish sense of the word? I may have consumed more than a fair share of brandy and auto correct is currently working overtime on this post.

wolfie74: What, the mollys again? [She had previously named those Zeus, Hera, and Alcmene for... reasons]

Me: No, the other ones.

wolfie74: The guppies? You do know those are all male, right?

Me: Then it is possible we have homosexual fish.

wolfie74: Is now when I tell you that [Youngest] and I named those three Gwaine, Merlin, and Arthur?

Day 3 of halfamoon. I wanted to do something with the women of Merlin, and quickly discovered that the ratio of "evil" to "good" is quite, er, something.

You could say women tend to equate to evil on the show, or you could say that the women tend to get majorly screwed over, which leads to some interesting decisions and life choices, which may or may not tend towards vengeance. Or, at the very least, being seriously pissed off.

Anyway, here are some of the pissed off magical women of Merlin... :)

In my defense, it has been a long time since I have done anything productive art-wise.

Yes, they are both supposed to be Merlin related.

I got new glasses! And am so far halfway through the work day without needing to reach for the Excedrin! I do believe there may be a correlation between these two points. Also cool? Not seeing blurry halos around objects when I take my glasses off. That’s just neat.

I am also finally making progress on my fringeminibang fic! Roughly 1,200 words worth, so that totally counts. I had been shooting plotlines over to poor patient threnodyjones up to this point, but not actually getting anything beyond that accomplished until now.

Oh, and I have some progress on the gwaine_quest fic as well! Need to add a scene between two scenes I have so far, and then continue on from there, but don’t feel comfortable writing that one out on lunch at work due to some NSFW bits because, really, nothing throws off your writing more than someone stopping by to ask you a question (ignoring the “Lunch” sign) and then going, “OMG! What are those two guys doing?!?” Also, because I would probably be tempted to reply something like, “Just wait, a third one joins in,” which would probably get me in even more trouble.

For now though, it’s time to finish up lunch, wrap up a paragraph, go to a meeting, finish my last few accounts, go volunteer, and then (finally) go home.

Pressed refresh on my f-list to find a camelotsolstice story posted just for me! It's lovely and sweet and OT4 and I adore it!

The Glitter of Snow in Sunlight has all the interactions of the OT4 that we know and love. Gwen being sweet and understanding, but definitely not a pushover. Merlin more than willing to do what's needed to make sure they are all all happy and safe. Morgana knowing each of them so well and exactly what they need, and manipulating things to get them there. And dear, sweet, well-meaning Arthur who does not know what hit him but will enjoy the ride nonetheless. *g*

Go read and tell this awesome mystery author how wonderful they truly are!
