No, I have not seen the episode yet (read a lot about it though *g*). It airs tonight in my neck of the woods. Anyway, this came to mind today, so I thought I would jot it down.

Unending
A single step started it all. The step up to the podium. A step towards what was supposed to be a suicide mission. A step through something science had yet to fully grasp. A step away from a lifetime of service and towards a journey of friendship.
Many things changed throughout the years. Sacrifices made, vengeance sought, and betrayals by trusted friends all had their cost. The line between friends and enemies blurred. And yet, they endured. They learned, they prospered, and they never gave up.
The destination was long forgotten, the journey the only thing that ever really mattered.
