Another SGA drabble, this one focusing on Teyla with spoilers for the episode “Vengeance”.

She awoke in a rush, breathing harsh to her own ears.  Fear gripped her stomach, its cold tendrils in sharp contrast to the warm arms she wrapped around herself.

 

It was just a dream, she knew this.  She also knew it was something more.

 

The feeling of vulnerability, the rusting metal against her exposed skin, the restraints she could feel cutting into her even now; all so real.  The monster looming above her, the feel of inhuman skin crawling across her... 

 

She shivered, a single word fighting its way past her lips as she fought back a sob:  “Michael.”
